Khungeka Njobe - Founder of Kay Ann Group
~~Ms Njobe is the founder of Kay Ann Group (November 2013) an investment holding business with an arm on investments in diverse sectors, an operating business on water - Clean Drops Water Solutions and Service Pty Ltd - and a consulting business offering services in environment, water and R&D, technology and innovation. Until May 2013, she served as the Managing Director of Aveng Water a wholly owned subsidiary of the Aveng Group which focussed on water treatment. In this role she was responsible for implementing the Company’s growth strategy in South Africa and beyond.
Ms Njobe has a B.Sc (Hons) in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, California, USA as well as Masters in Science from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She obtained her formal management training from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland where she obtained a certificate in Mastering Technology Enterprises (MTE). In May 2013 she was appointed the Chairperson of the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). Since September 2012 she has been Chairing of the Boards of Sasol Inzalo Public Limited and Sasol Inzalo Public Funding Limited and was previous Chair of their Audit Committees. Ms Njobe is also a Director of Safcol - South Africa's state forestry company - and Chairs its Human Resources & Remuneration Committee. In June 2014, she joined the council of the University of Stellenbosch. In 2007 she was presented by Tuks (University of Pretoria) Alumni Board with a Laureate Award. In 2009, Ms Njobe was voted by South Africa's CEO Magazine, the Most Influential Woman (MIW) in the category of public institutions and enterprises.
